Live-in Carer
As a Live-in Carer, you will provide continuous, personalised care and companionship to clients in the comfort of their own homes. This role is ideal for those who enjoy building deep, meaningful relationships with the people they care for. You will live in the client's home during your placement (typically 2 weeks on, 1 week off), with your own private room, meals, and breaks provided. Live-in care is our only nationally available service, meaning you may be placed anywhere in England. This is one of the most rewarding roles in care. You become a trusted companion and essential support for clients who wish to remain in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour care and support tailored to the client's needs
- Assist with all aspects of personal care and daily living
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements
- Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support
- Manage medication administration and health monitoring
- Maintain a clean and safe home environment
- Accompany clients to appointments and social activities
- Liaise with family members and healthcare professionals
- Maintain detailed daily care records
What We're Looking For
- Previous care experience preferred
- Ability to live in a client's home for set periods
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others
- Ability to cook and manage a household
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
