Senior Care Assistant
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Care Assistant to join our Northamptonshire team. In this role, you will lead by example, delivering high-quality hands-on care while mentoring and supporting newer team members. You will conduct client assessments, review care plans, and act as a key point of contact for families and healthcare professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least one year of care experience who is ready to take the next step in their career. We will fund your QCF Level 3 qualification if you do not already hold one.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality personal care to clients
- Mentor, shadow, and support new care assistants
- Conduct initial and ongoing client assessments
- Review and update care plans in collaboration with coordinators
- Carry out spot checks and competency assessments
- Handle medication administration including controlled drugs
- Act as first point of contact for client and family queries
- Deputise for the Care Coordinator when required
- Participate in on-call rota as needed
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 1 year care experience in domiciliary or residential care
- QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
- Enhanced DBS check (we can arrange this)
